Make Money Through Adsense

Before getting into how you can earn money by Google adsense I would like to tell you what is Google adsense. Often people get confused between adsense and Adwords as both terms are so remarkably similar in the way they sound and as they are used. But actually they are opposite to each other.

Adwords refer to the ad-selling program run by different organizations like Google, Chitika etc. where as adsense refers to the ad publishing program. Adwords is the system where people pay money to place their ads on Google or any individual site. Where as adsense is a free program. In adsense the site owner registers itself with one or Adwords program like Google and then Google Adwords will be displayed on the owner's site.

Adsense is very good way to monetize your traffic and is very easy to implement. Once you have build up your site or blog and have started getting your targeted traffic then, for sure Google Adsense could be very good way to earn online money. You simply need to apply on www.adsense.google.com to have ads on your site. But before applying for it make sure you have at least 10-15 pages on your site.

Adsense is basically what we call Cost-Per-Click (CPC) program. It generates revenue based on clicks that user makes on the ads that are displayed next to your article. The commission that we receive per click varies greatly. It could be anything in between 2cents to $10 per click. It entirely depends on the type of ad that is clicked.

By this it is very clear that there is a great competition between publisher's of ad. The more hot topic you choose for your site, the more possibility is there of getting ads that are highly paid.

If you target highly competitive words like debt free, make money, finance, getting loan, sex, employment, mp3 etc. then there is a chance that you will earn more money per click as they are more frequently searched on the web.

There are sites through which you can get to know the most searched keywords and then you can easily target those on your site as well as in your article. One of the most well known site for the same purpose is

 https://adwords.google.com/o/Targeting/Explorer?__u=1000000000&__c=1000000000&ideaRequestType=KEYWORD_IDEAS#search.none

Advertisers generally pay more for popular terms as they are highly searched. Google never reveals that how much you earned money on per click of any particular ad but yes you can check your daily earning, weekly, monthly and your total income till current date.

The money you make through your site largely depends on the traffic that you receive, how well you have used the popular terms that are highly searched, how much relevant article you have written for your targeted audience, how well your ads match to your article and of course at last how much do you earn per click.

Ideally you should always create a site on a topic about which you know well and you can write your own original content on it. That way you can easily create a generous amount of topic on that subject.

Tips on Succeeding on Adsense
