Most of the time lot of people get confused with Adwords and Adsense and often use them interchangeably. But actually both are very opposite to each other. We can think them as two sides of the same coin. For new one's to the internet marketing field it can be a little confusing to understand. Difference between Adwords and Adsense:
- Adsense basically refers to the ad-publishing program and Adwords refers to the ad-selling program run by Google. In fact Adwords is one of the most revenue generating program of the Google.
- AdWords is used by advertisers and AdSense is used by publishers.
- Google Adsense is the fabulous advertising program to earn money where as Google Adwords helps you to let the world know about your website/business very quickly.
- Once you sign up with Adwords you can advertise on Google.com, Google Search Network or other sites on which you wish to promote your business. Adwords helps to drive targeted traffic to your site and thus increases your sale. Advertisers need to pay some amount to Google on each of its ad click.
- Adsense helps publishers to monetize their blog or site by earning money from the ads displayed next to their content. These are the same ads that of Adwords. Site or blog owner get their commission each time the ad is clicked. If you have good traffic diverted to your site you can earn a lot of money through Adsense.
- Adwords is basically a paid service and Adsense is a free one. At the time of sign up both are free. But in Adwords as your designed ad of your business is clicked you are charged some amount whereas in Adsense you promote others business so when ever an ad is clicked you get your commission.
